Shawn is a graduate of Liberty University and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He married his bride, Joanna, at Southwest Hills Baptist Church in 1996. He has been in full-time ministry since 1998 and has served at Camp Bighorn in Montana, The Evangelical Free Church of Pullman (WA) as the Youth Pastor, and at Glisan Street Baptist Church in Portland as the Senior Pastor.
Shawn and Joanna have four children and spend most of their free time at their sporting events or practices. Shawn loves the outdoors, and loves fishing, backpacking and hunting. It is not uncommon to find him with his nose in a book, either.
Shawn loves the Lord and preaches verse-by-verse through the Scriptures.

Ron joined our Pastoral Staff in July 2012 as a part-time Associate Pastor with a primary emphasis on administration and pastoral care. Previously Ron ministered at the Cannon Beach Christian Conference Center for many years and later with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.
Ron, and his wife Christie, have been a vital part of Battle Ground Baptist Church since 2004. Ron has served as the Chairman of our Elder Board for many years and continues to be a Home Group Leader.
Ron is a man of prayer and a student of the Word.
Chase Bains, Youth Pastor

Chase was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1990. His parents (Dave and Lindy) as well as sister (Autumn) reside in Southern California. He is a graduate of Oregon State University (B.S.) and Western Seminary (M.Div). He has served in multiple ministry roles including two summers as a camp counselor at Camp Gilead in Carnation, Washington, 3 years on staff as a pastoral intern at First Baptist Church of Corvallis, Oregon, 6 years as the youth minister at the Chinese Christian Church of Corvallis, and 5 years on staff with Campus Ambassadors at Oregon State University. Chase also served for 4 years as the student manager of the Oregon State Softball program.
Chase is an avid lover of sports, geography, and the outdoors.
Chase is passionate about discipleship and evangelism and wants to see students throughout Clark County reached by the power of the Gospel.
